Already Have Solar or an Inverter That Was Never Installed Properly? I Fix That.
This is more common in Gauteng than most people realise. The solar boom brought in a lot of installers who are no longer around, or were never registered electricians to begin with, and what they leave behind is usually an installation problem, not a faulty unit. Bad wiring, incorrect earthing, the system wired into your DB board wrong, isolators missing or installed incorrectly, no compliance certificate at all. I come out, test the installation itself properly, and tell you honestly what was done wrong and what it takes to correct it.

I didn't install it, so I've got no reason to tell you it's fine when it isn't, and no reason to sell you a full replacement when correcting the installation will do. If the equipment itself has failed the panel, the battery, the inverter unit that's a manufacturer or supplier matter, not mine, and I'll tell you plainly if that's what's going on rather than guess.

By law, any EV charger installation over 16A has to be done by a registered electrician and signed off with a Certificate of Compliance; without it, your insurance can be void on a car that isn't cheap. I install home chargers for BYD, GWM, and the full range of EVs now on SA roads, sized to what your supply can actually handle, with the phase question sorted before I quote, not after.

Yes. I can inspect an existing installation, tell you honestly whether it’s compliant, and issue a CoC if it isn’t. Most homeowners have no idea whether their installer left them with valid paperwork.
In most cases, yes — whoever installed it. Underperformance and faulting are usually down to how the system was wired, earthed and connected, not the equipment itself, and that’s exactly what I test and correct. If the fault turns out to be the unit itself rather than the installation, I’ll tell you straight and point you to the right place, rather than take on work that isn’t mine to do.
It depends on your car’s onboard charging rate and whether your home needs a three-phase upgrade. I’ll give you a clear answer on both before I quote — no guessing.
